EFFECTS OF ORGANIZATIONAL CONFLICT ON WORKERS’PERFORMANCE IN NIGERIAN PUBLIC SERVICE (A STUDY OF NNAMDI AZIKIWE UNIVERSITY, AWKA)
This research is aimed at examining the effect of organizational conflicts on workers’ performance in Nigeria Tertiary institution, using Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka as a study. To achieve this aim, the researcher generated five research questions, explored various relevant literature by different scholars. The researcher also made use of self structured questionnaire and interviews to elicit relevant data needed for the research. The population of the study was 2770 workers’ but the sample size was 200 workers’. This was gotten through simple random sampling technique. Data collection were analyzed using simple percentage. From the findings, it was found that a poor working condition is a major cause of organization conflict. The study also showed that conflict is reducible in organization, therefore, it was concluded that conflict is part of organizations and with the application of right conflict resolution technique, it would be reduced. It was therefore recommended by the researcher that there should be proper study of conflicts so as to minimize its occurrence. Furthermore, it was recommended that government should try and make service attractive to the public by looking into the mode of hiring and the conditions of service. MOTIVATION AS A MEANS OF INCREASING WORKERS PRODUCTIVITY. (A CASE STUDY OF MID-STEEL INDUSTRIES LIMITED BENIN,BOUND CITY)
This research work is centered on the effect of motivation as a means of increasing workers productivity with emphasis on mid-steel industries limited, Benin. The population of the study comprised one hundred and thirty (130) staff of the organization. The sample for the study was 110 out 130. Staff, which was drawn using sample random sampling the study. The researcher also collected data through primary and secondary source using well structured questionnaire and personal interview. Which he administered to the respondent. The responses to these question were analyzed with the use of simple percentages. My findings reveled that wages and salaries of the workers are poor, there are no properly laid down policies for promoting workers. Also there are not enough accommodation and transport facilities for the workers. The research was concluded and the following recommendations were made. The workers should be paid equitable salaries and wages based on their performance and the prevalent economic conditions. The management should establish a promotional policy and training programmes such as on the job and off the job training. Finally, the researcher suggested that further work should be carried out on this study. Which includes the effect of fringes benefits in manufacturing industries and how motivational factors can best suit the different categories of works. THE TECHNIQUE FOR IMPROVING WORKERS PERFORMANCE IN AN INDUSTRY (A CASE STUDY OF PILLAR POLE LIMITED NANKA)
Managing employees in an organization is a function which everyone has control over others share in human resources management. Its mistake be left to specialists alone because human materials resources are more difficult to manage than material resources as a result of the conflict between the employers and employees wishes so, for a manager to be successful he must be involve in the effective planning. Organizing, influencing, co-ordinating and controlling of employees and must also understand and be able to use personal management techniques and in addition have some knowledge of the principles in industrial psychology on which they arte based. He must be aware of the result of psychological studies of the employee as an individual or a member of a working group and a person whose behavior is influenced to some extent by his technological environment. This research work is clearly designed to give managers or those who especially are concerned with human resources management workers to greater performance. To ensure analytic and logical presentation this research is organized in five chapters. Chapter one introduces the subject of the study and also gives a brief history of the company of study highlighting the purpose of the study problems, scope, limitations and definition of terms. Chapter two is the review of past literatures which is made up of contribution by well renewed authors and academicians. It also has some prescribed motivation techniques. Chapter three is the research design and methodology and gives a description of the research instruments, sources of data collection and methods, sample size and method of statistical analysis. Chapter four is the presentation and analysis of data based on the responses to the questionnaires. Chapter five forms the summary of findings, recommendation and conclusion.

IMPACT OF TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT ON WORKERS PERFROMANCE (A CASE STUDY OF NIGERIA AGRICULTURAL AND CO-OPERATIVE BANK LTD AWKA ANAMBRA STATE).
The main purpose of this study is to examine the impact of training and development on workers performance in Nigeria Agriculture and co-operative Bank limited Awka. The population size of the study was two hundred (200) while, the sample size was one hundred and thirty three (133). The sample size was drafted using yaro Yamani formular. The sources of instrument used for data collection in this research work were the primary source and secondary source. The primary source includes; Oral interview and questionnaires while, the secondary source includes; text books, magazines, journals etc. Research design adopted in this work was survey research design. The method of data analysis used was simple average and percentage technique. Findings: the staff of Nigeria Agricultural and co-operative Bank. Awka are poorly trained and developed. Also, training as an organizational effort aimed at helping an employee to acquire basic skills required for the efficient execution of the function for which he was hired. Equally, an efficient training and development programmes result to worker’s greater performance. Finally, a well trained employee (worker) enjoys adult characteristic independence, has deeper and more consistent interest in what he does as a result of procession of requisite skills. Conclusion: training and development are general and current trend establishment as a result of it’s impact on workers performance. It is a veritable tool that could be used in both public sector and private sector. Recommendations: management should strive from time to time to identify the training needs of workers and attend to them so as to keep workers abreast of technological innovations and update their skills for better performance. More funds should be adopted for implementing performance based on training and development programmes. Finally, adoption of satisfying working condition and provision of opportunity for growth, advancement and self actualization should be made.
