3.1 Design of The Study

According to Asike (1991:27) defines research design as the struggling of investigation aimed a identifying variables and their relationship to one another. Research design helps in obtaining data. The research design to e used in the study is the descriptive design since the subject matter is historical in nature; it helps in obtaining information from the past.

3.2 Area of the Study

3.3 Population Of The Study

The population of the company’s staff is five thousand (5000). The population chosen for this research work is the staff of Anammco Enugu located at Emene industrial layout Enugu,2523 Nigeria.5% of the population of the staff were randomly chosen to other response to the questionnaire.

3.4 Sample of The Study

In other to determine the sample size, Yaro Yameri (1964) sample determination formula will be used and it is stated as follows:

Where n = desired sample size

N = population =5000

1 = constant

E = Allowable error margin (5%)

n=  5000

n= 5000

n= 370

The sample size is 370. Based on this 370 questionnaire were distributed to the respondents.

Sampling Procedure

The sampling procedure specifies how the respondents will be chosen; simple random sampling method was employed in selecting the respondents.

3.5 Instrument For Data Collection

The instrument used in this research is work questionnaire which was tightly structures and contains close ended questions needed to get information from respondents.

3.6 Validation Of The Instrument

The instrument reliability was confirmed on the ground that the questionnaires were given out to the same group of people several times yielding the same report as analyzed in the later chapter.

3.7 Distribution and Retrieval Of Instrument

The researcher distributed 370 copies of questionnaire to the targets respondents and then 104 were complied and was returned.

3.8 Method Of Data Collection

Questionnaire was mainly used for sourcing of the needed information from respondents. Two sets of questionnaire were administered to the staff of Anammco Enugu. The questions were discussed with the employees and collected three days

later. The second questionnaires administered to the community contained two sections. Section “A” which has a total of five questions sought the personal profit of the respondents and section “B” which contain twelve questions related to the impact of the company’s social performance. This design was to properly evaluate the respondents’ response and effectively generates their views and opinions. Total of (185) questionnaires were administered to the company through the company’s human resource manager, only (120) were retrieved. Also, total of (185) questionnaires were randomly distributed to members of the community and total of 104 were retrieved.

The researcher adopted simple average and percentage techniques in analyzing data collected.
